Xbox Diagnostics 

Not all of the Xbox repairs we receive have a real problem.
 

Symptoms to send / bring in your Xbox for repair: 

  1. The Xbox is dead, not Green light on front panel.
  2. My Xbox will not play any of my CD Games.
  3. My Xbox Games lock up after a certain amount of time playing
  4. I can not play DVD’s on my Xbox.
  5. I have Eject problems with my Xbox
  6. I hear strange noises from my Xbox
  7. I get dirty Disc Error.
  8. My Xbox flashes with different colors from the LED around the eject button but nothing on the screen
  9. My Xbox locks up.
  10. When I attempt to boot up a CD I get a “you need service Message” comes up and has a LED style error number on the top left hard corner of the TV screen
  • Error #1 bootldr Unknown exactly, something to do with checking the motherboard
  • Error #2 bootldr Eeprom check failed
  • Error #4 bootldr Ram check failed
  • Error #5 kernel HDD not locked
  • Error #6 kernel Cannot unlock HDD
  • Error #7 kernel HDD timeout
  • Error #8 kernel No HDD found
  • Error #9 kernel HDD parameters
  • Error #10 kernel DVD timeout
  • Error #11 kernel No DVD found
  • Error#12 kernel DVD parameters

  • Error#21 anywhere This error says that the machine was booted to a display error.

Symptoms Not to send in your Xbox for repair / adjustment: 

1. Only one of my CD games will not play properly.  Some Video game problems are caused by damaged or scratched CD game Disks. We can resurface some scratched CD game Disks so they will work again in video game. One way you can tell if you CD Game software disk(s) are damaged beyond repair, is to hold them up to the light. If you can see any pin holes or light thru bad scratches on the game label side (Top) then your CD game disk is bad. 

We charge
$45 Labor for an Xbox basic internal cleaning and adjustment and up to $ 75 Labor and parts for Video Game replacement CD laser Pickup head plus return Shipping and Isurance changes.
